SI3E conference Lomé / IEA SHC Task 53

This conference on Energy, Water and Environment has been organised by Environmental Events from 24th to 28th of April 2018 in Lomé (Togo).

The first day has been focusing on the Energy topic and especially 2 dedicated conferencs :

Conference 1: Which form of energy for sustainable development in Africa?

During this conference, Daniel Mugnier presented the position of solar energy among the different possible renewable energy to be use in West Africa and the very important place taken by air conditioning among the different energy needs addressable by solar in urban areas in this subregion

Conference 2: Which advantages are coming from renewable energies ?

During this second conference, Daniel Mugnier presented through the main results obtained by IEA SHC Task 53 the big added value in West african cities of the concept of solar cooling so as to decrease the important growing electric consumption due to air conditioners, especially in administrative buildings, hotels and offices (banks).
