These guidelines are a good starting point if you are interested in Solar Neighborhood Planning.
The guidelines were developed to assist urban planners, designers and practitioners within the planning and design process of solar neighborhoods. They assist in defining urban surface uses, by integrating the exploitation of solar energy (through active and passive solar strategies) with the enhancement of climate resilience and sustainability.
The workflow consists of six steps; for each step, the guidelines provide key questions to answer during the design process and explain the actions to take in order to answer them, and the objective of doing so.
To support the user, the guidelines contain links to all relevant Task 63 outputs, and hyperlinks to help navigate the content.
The guidelines are available here.
