For many years solar thermal energy has experienced notable growth rates in systems for hot water and room heating worldwide. Recently new developments and the increased solar thermal integration into heating grids and for industrial process heating were observed, while it was difficult to continue the trend in the conventional application sectors. Therefore new business models, hybrid systems, as well as component and system developments and advanced thermal storage systems are of paramount importance for the successful future of solar thermal energy. With this background in mind, the conference "Gleisdorf SOLAR 2016" is based on new and innovative solutions.

The event will start with a technical tour on Wednesday, 8 June 2016.  On the conference days 9 and 10 June leading experts will present recent results from research, development and demonstration projects.
