18 October 2016. The IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme and the International Solar Energy Society, ISES are very pleased to announce that their next international conferences, the Solar Heating and Cooling for Buildings and Industry Conference (SHC 2017) and the ISES Solar World Congress 2017 (SWC 2017) will be held together. Both events will take place at the Jumeirah Hotel at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on October 29 to November 2, 2017 and will be hosted by Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.
Save the date for this exciting international event!
By joining the IEA SHC Solar Heating and Cooling for Buildings and Industry 2017 with the ISES Solar World Congress, there will be a rich opportunity to communicate to decision makers, project developers, businesses, researchers and financiers the significant technological advances and commercial successes of solar energy technologies, as well as to learn of the needs of these important stakeholders. The overarching theme of the joint conference will focus on innovation and technological advances leading us to 100% renewable energy to meet end-use energy requirements, encompassing the power, heating, and transportation sectors.
SHC 2017 and SWC 2017 will provide the most up-to-date information on renewable energy technology trends and breakthroughs, global and regional policies, and market opportunities.
The Solar Heating and Cooling for Buildings and Industry Conference, SHC 2017, will bring together the latest developments in solar heating and cooling and highlight market successes. SHC 2017 is sure to inspire you as you participate in the conference sessions and discussions and learn firsthand about the developments in the Middle East. It is the goal of SHC 2017 to have you leave ready to help deploy solar thermal technologies to become an increasingly significant contributor to a sustainable and renewable energy future.
The ISES Solar World Congress, SWC 2017, will address the key ingredients of the renewable energy transformation: technology innovation, financial opportunities, policy developments, as well as community and grass-roots actions, case studies and best practices that already are leading towards achieving a 100% renewable energy system in cities and regions. Nevertheless, many challenges remain, and the ISES Solar World Congress 2017 will bring to the forefront a dialogue among diverse experts to discuss and formulate actions to meet these challenges.
Combining both events, IEA SHC and ISES are creating a platform to inspire further innovation and advancements in solar and renewable energy worldwide.
Masdar Institute, also host of the annual Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) and the 2016 SolarPACES conference, expects that this joint conference will meet with similar success, providing participants with the invaluable opportunity to network, develop partnerships and exchange ideas with local and international renewable energy experts.
In the coming weeks the first call for participation will be launched.
