On 12th and 13th September 2016, an international workshop is going to take place in Zürich, Switzerland, concerning the development of a new IEA EBC Annex proposal. The topic is: "Cost-effective strategies to combine energy efficiency measures and renewable energy use in building renovation at district level". The EBC Executive Committee has approved the Project Concept presented by Manuela Almeida in its meeting in Oslo in June 2016. The international workshop aims to bring together experts from various countries to discuss the research questions and the content of the planned project, to create a team of interested participants and to elaborate a full Annex proposal.
As a particularity, the workshop includes a discussion on the "Energy Endeavour" competition developed by the Solar Decathlon Europe Secretariat, to explore possible connections with the proposed Annex and related outreach activities.
